Edward G. Robinson plays an unpleasant cattle baron whose wife (Barbara Stanwyck) is carrying on with his brother while he drives small landowners from his valley. Glenn Ford plays the hero of the piece, an ex-Civil War officer who undertakes a guerilla campaign on the disagreeable cattle-man.
