Jean Arthur stars as a sassy western wildcat in the frontier days of lawless Arizona. When she finds that her wagon trains are being plundered by local villains she realises that she needs the help of a tough Tuscan cowboy (William Holden) who happens to be in love with her. Sparks fly as they try to battle corruption and the hostile environment.
