Alex and Nancy have found their dream home - a brownstone in Brooklyn - but cranky Mrs Connelly lives in the rent controlled flat on top. She watches TV at full volume, lets a brass band rehearse and makes demands on Alex. Soon the nuisance turns into all-out war with the pair plotting to get rid of Mrs Connelly.
