In control are thieves and murderers like ruthless land baron Brent Mallick (Corbin Bernsen) backed by corrupt politicians and their State troopers.When Mallick has cattle-owner Jack Neumann (Jurgen Prochnow) murdered by his rogue mercenaries, so that can steal his land, retired Confederate General Jackson 'Ole Devil' Hardin (Martin Sheen) calls in a group of former soldiers, 'the Floating Outfit' to ensure that Neumann's feisty neighbour, Frida, is not forced to sell her land.But Mallick is willing to use all necessary means to win out and unleashes his sadistic desperados to blaze a trail of torture, lynchings and executions that only those that are fastest on the trigger can hope to survive.
