Tom Hanks and Shelley Long play a couple of New Yorkers who decide to refurbish an old suburban house. However, the restoration turns into a nightmare with the hapless pair at the mercy of fate - and worse still - cowboy builders. It doesn't help that they been sold a wreck by a con artist.
