Two Navy men are assigned to escort Meadows, a young sailor to a New England military prison for an eight-year sentence. One of the men thinks the sentence is a waste of Meadows' formative years so they give him a good time - getting drunk, getting in a fight and having sex, while teaching him to stand up for himself.
