When realtor Jim Evers and his wife and business partner Sara get a call from eager-to-sell mansion owner Edward Gracey, they can't believe their luck. The Gracey mansion, shrouded in fog and mystery, was once a stately antebellum palace that hosted the wealthiest of New Orleans society. Jim, Sara and their two children pay a visit only to discover a weathered and decrepit mansion with falling floors, moving pictures and disappearing rooms. When a torrential thunderstorm strands them in the old mansion, 999 ghosts materialise forcing Evers and his family to join in a hilarious and hair-raising battle for "home rule."
