Sitting in the same macabre drawer as 'Delicatessen', 'The Green Butchers' tell the story of Bjarne, and emotionally damaged stoner and Svend, an unloved, tyrannical nerd, who decide to go into business together with the sharpest skill they possess: butchery. Dog-eat-dog competition and an ex-boss with more than one axe to grind leave the boys grappling for their livelihood. So the last thing they expect a gruesome accident to provide is a glimmer of hope. But their fateful decision leads to the most unlikely of solutions and it's not long before their peculiar brand of "speciality" meat is the hottest meal ticket in town.
