Dr Martin Blake, an ambitious young medic, is eager to impress his colleagues and superiors and when 18 year old Diane is admitted to the hospital with a kidney infection, Martin gets a boost of self-confidence when he is able to diagnose her quickly. However, whilst treating her condition his interest in Diane soon becomes romantic.
