Drama starring Gregory Hines. Upon his release from prison for a burglary conviction, Max Washington (Hines) returns to his old haunt, The Hoofer Club - an old tap dancing joint. His ex-girlfriend, Amy (Suzzanne Douglas), is now working at the club as an instructor, and is less than thrilled to see her old flame return.
