Spike Lee stirs up the melting pot of New York once more in this tense drama set against the backdrop of 1976's infamous 'Son of Sam' killings that had the entire city on edge. Philandering Bronx hairdresser Vinny (John Leguizamo) thinks he's made it to the top of the tree but his world unravels with his eventual betrayal of his best friend Ritchie (Adrien Brody) and the break-up of his marriage. Lee skilfully evokes the emotional inferno as Vinny's world gradually implodes.
