A retired sheriff thinks that an innocent truck driver is his old adversary, The Bandit, in this action comedy sequel with Jackie Gleason. Jerry Reed takes over from Burt Reynolds as the free-wheeling rogue, while Burt himself makes a cameo appearance as 'The Real Bandit'.
