Chris (Val Kilmer) and Mitch (Gabriel Jarret) are two teenage geniuses recruited by the California Technical Institute to work on a laser beam research project run by the esteemed Professor Hathaway (William Atherton). The pair fast become friends and start using their scientific know-how to get up to all manner of hi-jinks.
