Not every city boy wants to go to the country for the summer, especially 10-year-old Willard Young, whose mother rosemary conveniently shuffles him off to stay with friends in the rural town of paradise. Painfully shy, Willard finds himself resigned to living with two people distracted by their own domestic difficulties.
