When his US Marine handler Kyle is killed in Afghanistan, sniffer dog Max returns home in a severely traumatised state. In danger of being put down, Max is put in the reluctant care of Kyle's teenage brother Justin (Josh Wiggins), the only person he will tolerate. But as they form a cautious bond, Justin begins to suspect that the events surrounding Kyle's death were not as reported. And suspicion can be a dangerous thing... Courage and loyalty are put to the test in a stirring adventure that puts its faith in family and friends - four-legged and otherwise.
