The discovery the intrepid explorers make will impact human history, all the way down to 2018 and beyond. (This film is, on one level, a satire/parody/spoof of typical 1960-era SciFi films. Inane plot, uneven acting/pacing, cheesy special effects, use of NASA stock footage, etc., are all part of the design. But it also has a serious side.)
