Annette Bening plays Claire Cooper, a woman whose idyllic New England existence is disrupted by the arrival of a mysterious and psychotic serial killer (Robert Downey Jr.). Not only does the murderer wreak havoc upon the community, but he also starts to appear in Claire's dreams, leaving clues as to his next victims.
