John Wayne and Hardy Kruger are among the grizzled group of big-game hunters pursuing their African quarries in Land Rovers. Not surprisingly, Howard Hawks, the director with whom Wayne made Red River, Rio Bravo, El Dorado and Rio Lobo, injects plenty of Western spirit into this sprawling, man's own adventure.
