It's 15th century Italy and young Flavia is imprisoned in a convent by her father. Expecting quiet contemplation, she gets a crash course in hell as rape, torture, castration and bondage become the norm - but worse is to come. This horror film is a disturbing exploration of religiously condoned sexual violence.
