Broke and recovering from an accident Nat goes after a farm job in Wyoming. On the way he saves older man Finch's life who offers Nat a job painting his lakeside motel. Soon Nat falls for Finch's alluring young wife and a suspicious husband challenges him to a not so friendly boxing match.
