Club Paradise (1945) Club Paradise (aka Sensation Hunters) is a lurid "Detour-ish" tale featuring Doris Merrick as Julie. To make ends meet, she goes to work as an exotic dancer and becomes friends with the trumpet player (Eddie Quillan). She eventually becomes entangled with the handsome and suave, but troubled, new stranger in town, Danny (Robert Lowery), which leads to romantic intrigue and, ultimately, murder.
