This remake of the classic 1971 made-for-TV tear jerker details an interracial friendship in late-1960s between new Chicago Bears recruit Gale Sayers and valuable running back Brian Piccolo. The two form a close bond, but then tragedy hits when Piccolo discovers that he has cancer.
